ELIGIBILITY: The candidate must be a citizen of India and a native of Tamil Nadu. Applicants claiming Tamil Nadu nativity must submit a valid Nativity Certificate issued by the competent Revenue Authority of the Government of Tamil Nadu; Permanent Residence Certificates will not be accepted in place of a Nativity Certificate. The Nativity Certificate must be uploaded along with the application, and certificates sent separately will not be considered. Candidates who are native to Tamil Nadu and have studied from 6th to 12th standard in schools within the state must also produce their Nativity Certificate and Community Certificate issued by the competent authority in Tamil Nadu. To claim communal reservation, candidates must enclose their own Community Certificate along with the Community Certificate of either parent obtained from the competent Revenue Authority in Tamil Nadu; failing to do so will result in consideration under the Open Category only. Native candidates who studied partly or wholly from 6th to 12th standard outside Tamil Nadu must upload their Nativity Certificate and, if claiming communal reservation, both the candidate’s and either parent’s Community Certificates issued by the competent Tamil Nadu authority; otherwise, the application will be summarily rejected. Candidates from other states who are not native to Tamil Nadu but studied from 6th to 12th standard in Tamil Nadu will be considered under the Open Category and must produce a Bonafide Certificate from the respective school. Community Certificates issued by authorities of other states will not be accepted for claiming communal reservation.
METHOD OF SELECTION & ADMISSION :- The selection will be made based on merit and applying the rule of reservation by the Government of Tamil Nadu as follows:-

AGE LIMIT :– Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2025. (Those who were born few days later can also be included, i.e. maximum 15 days).
CATEGORIES OF SEATS: 65% of total seats in Non-Minority Institution and 50% of total seats in Minority Institution, subject to the Policy of the State Government and the court orders in this regard for each Paramedical Course in Self-Financing institutions surrendered to Government Quota will be filled as per merit following the rule of reservation in force. The actual number of seats offered by the Self - Financing Institutions will be displayed at the time of Counselling.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:- Candidates seeking admission to Paramedical Degree courses must submit their duly filled online application along with all required enclosures on or before 5.00 PM on 07-07-2025. Requests for extension of time beyond the specified deadline will not be entertained under any circumstances, and no additional documents or applications will be accepted after the due date and time. Applicants claiming admission under Special Categories, namely Children of Ex-Servicemen and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, must upload the relevant certificates in the prescribed format as per Annexure-I and Annexure-II (A) & (B). Failure to upload the required Special Category certificate will result in the candidate’s application being considered under the General Category only, provided he or she satisfies the eligibility criteria applicable to the General Category.

Candidates are instructed to upload the following certificates while filling up the online application in the required places:-
Note: Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category must upload a valid Community Certificate issued by a Competent Authority not below the rank of Revenue Divisional Officer while submitting the online application. If a candidate claims ST status without uploading the required certificate, they will be treated under the Open Category. Submission or production of any false Community, Nativity, or other certificate—if detected at any stage during the course will lead to cancellation of allotment, expulsion from the course, and initiation of criminal proceedings against both the candidate and their parents as per law. In view of increasing instances of bogus community certificates, the authenticity of the submitted certificate must be verified and confirmed by the concerned authority before completion of the first year. It is the responsibility of the candidate and their parents to ensure this verification; failing which, the candidate will not be permitted to continue into the second year. All necessary certificates must be uploaded in the prescribed format in the online application, and Community Certificates issued by other States will not be accepted; such candidates will be treated as belonging to the Open Category.
ONLINE COUNSELLING PROCEDURE (SINGLE WINDOW SYSTEM):- The Online Counselling schedule will be published exclusively on the official website, and candidates must lock their preferred colleges and courses within the stipulated time. Admission to Paramedical Degree courses will be conducted through counselling based on merit, strictly in accordance with the applicable rules of reservation. Counselling for Special Categories, including Ex-Servicemen and Persons with Disabilities, will be held prior to the General Category counselling, and no reallotment or change of college will be permitted for candidates under these special categories. To participate in the online counselling process, candidates are required to pay a processing fee of Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty Only) through the online bank payment portal. During choice filling, candidates may select any number of eligible courses and colleges, and seat allotment will be made based on their preferences, merit position, and reservation policy.
REPORTING :Candidates who are allotted seats must download the Provisional Allotment Order and report in person to the allotted Medical College/Institution on or before the date and time specified, carrying all original certificates along with photocopies for verification. Applicants who registered but did not participate or were not allotted a seat in the first round of counselling may take part in subsequent rounds. However, only those candidates who joined their allotted course in the first phase are eligible to participate in later phases for re-allotment. Counselling dates will be published on the official website, and no individual intimation will be sent. Movement of candidates from one category to another (such as from Self-Financing to Government Colleges) or from one Government College to another will be strictly based on merit and in accordance with the rule of reservation. Vacancies arising after the first round, as well as additional seats sanctioned due to approval of new colleges, will be filled through subsequent online counselling, if required. Re-allotment within Self-Financing Colleges will not be permitted, and individual or mutual requests for transfer of course or college will not be entertained.
MERIT LIST:-The Merit List will be prepared based on the marks obtained by eligible candidates in the prescribed subjects in the qualifying examination, reduced to a base of 200 marks. Marks awarded by different Boards will be normalized to ensure uniformity. Ranking will be determined on the basis of the total normalized marks (maximum 200). For candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics, the marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology will be considered for preparing the General Merit List. For candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics along with other subjects (excluding Biology, Botany, and Zoology), the marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics will be considered only for preparing the merit list for B.Pharmacy, B.ASLP, and B.Optom courses. In case two or more candidates secure equal aggregate marks out of 200 in Paramedical Courses, inter-se merit will be determined in the following order: higher percentage in Biology or Botany and Zoology combined in the Higher Secondary Examination; if still equal, higher percentage in Chemistry; then higher percentage in Physics; followed by higher percentage in the Fourth Optional subject; if a tie persists, seniority in age (earlier date of birth) will be given preference; and finally, a computerized random number will be assigned, with the higher value receiving the higher rank.
