About
NESAM COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCE was established in the year 2019 by CIYAD FOUNDATION. The institution is located in the heart of the city just adjacent to Tirunelveli city. The institution is offering various Allied health science courses. The motto behind starting these allied health science courses is to transform the students joining these courses into highly skilled paramedical service providers. Classes are conducted by highly experienced physicians, surgeons and technical people of respective departments. We are training the students by allowing them to practice in Multispecialty hospitals which make the learning pragmatic. In turn, we achieve our motto. Library, Seminar hall, video conferencing room, computer room with Internet connection and audio visual aids such as OHP, LCD projectors helps our student to learn eminently.
Facilities
The College provides world- class lab facilities for each Department. It contains Under-graduate laboratories, Computer Laboratories are fully equipped with modern instruments to experience the research environment. The students are motivated to employ their minds in research work for their advancement.
The primary aim of the library is to support the student of the institution for education. It acts as the source of infinite knowledge that regularly updates its myriad of books, magazines, Newspaper, journals, E-Books and other richest collection. It is a well-designed knowledge bank that is completely equipped to enrich the mind of the readers and models are exhibited and made available for students and the faculty to utilize and enrich their knowledge.
Well furnished ,Spacious class room equipped with the latest teaching aids such as LCD projector, audio visual teaching etc.,
All classrooms are well-illuminated, properly-ventilated and with modern sitting. The AC Seminar Hall is a 3000 sq.ft. air-conditioned, well-furnished structure with a seating capacity of 250. Department level seminars, workshops, staff meetings, students council meetings are conducted in this hall.
The hostel provided for the students is comfortable to stay away from home for male & female students. The rooms are spacious,safe, secure, clean and airy and food prepared in a healthy & homely manner. The hostel has recreation facilities, sanitary facilities and good water supply for 24 hours.

The Online submission of Application form for admission to Paramedical Degree courses for 2023-2024 session in Tamil Nadu Government Medical Colleges, Government seats in Self-Financing Colleges/Institutions affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai-32. can be accessed from the following websites.
| NOTE:- The candidates who are unable to access the online application can appear in person with parent or guardian, along with all the original certificates at any one of the facilitation centre available in the nearest Government Medical Colleges / Tamil Nadu Government Dental College and T.F.C.( Tamil Nadu Facilitation Centre) in each District ( where there are no Medical colleges yet) and utilize the facilities to access and apply online. |
| Candidates are advised to take printout of prospectus and read the prospectus carefully with their parents or Guardians before filling the online application and ensure that no mandatory column is left blank. In the event of Non-Acceptance of the online application form, no correspondence/request for re-consideration will be entertained. |

ELIGIBILITY:-The candidate should be a citizen of India.
NATIVITY:- Candidates should be Native of Tamil Nadu (The candidates, who claim their Nativity as Tamil Nadu should submit their nativity certificate issued by the competent Revenue authority of Government of Tamil Nadu.)

Normalization of Marks:- As per the Tamil Nadu Act No 3 of 2007, dt 05.03.2007 and G.O(Ms) No.77 HE(J2) Dept.dt:05.04.2007, the marks obtained by the students in the relevant subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by various Boards or Authority shall be equated with the marks obtained by the students in the same subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by the State Board (Government of Tamil Nadu) by adopting the method of normalization. Under the method of normalization, the highest mark obtained by the students of various Boards in each subject will be equated to the highest mark obtained by the students of State Board in that subject and the relative marks obtained by other students in that subject will be determined accordingly.

If the highest marks secured by the student of State Board in Physics is 100 and the highest mark secured by a student of any other Board in the same subject is 90, both the highest marks will be considered to be equal to 100. If a student of the other Board secures 60 marks in Physics when the first mark in Physics in the same Board is 90, then 60 marks will be considered to be equal to 66.66 marks as arrived at below:- 100X60/90= 66.66% |
| NOTE:- After normalization of marks in the relevant subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by different Boards, the qualified students of different Boards will be merged into a common merit list. In case of candidates who have qualified from National Boards such as CBSE and ISCE, the highest marks obtained by the candidates at the National Level alone will be taken into consideration for normalization. |
MERIT LIST.:-
CALCULATION OF MARKS :-Merit List will be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained by the eligible candidates in the prescribed subjects in the qualifying examinations reduced to the base of 200 marks. The marks obtained through different Boards will be taken into account after normalization

| In respect of the candidates who have taken the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology will be taken into account for arriving the General merit list and for those candidates who have taken Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics along with other subjects (other than Biology, Botany and Zoology) the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will be taken into account for arriving the merit list for B. Pharmacy / B.ASLP/B.Optom courses only. |
| Determination of Rank of Candidates obtaining equal marks in all Paramedical Courses (Inter-se Merit) |
In cases where two or more candidates obtain equal aggregate for 200, the rank of such candidates shall be determined on the basis of the following order namely:- i) Percentage in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together in Higher Secondary Course Examination. ii) Percentage in Chemistry in Higher Secondary Course examination. iii) Percentage in Physics in Higher Secondary Course examination. iv) Percentage in Fourth Optional subject in Higher Secondary Course Examination. v) Date of Birth – Weightage given to seniority in age. vi) Computerized Random number assigned. Higher value of random number will be taken into consideration. |
ONLINE COUNSELLING PROCEDURE (SINGLE WINDOW SYSTEM)
Online Counseling Schedule will be available only on the website. Candidates should lock their choices of Colleges and Courses as per the schedule
The processing fee of Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty Only) should be paid through online mode via bank payment portal to participate in the online counselling
At the time of choice filling, candidates can choose any number of eligible Courses and Colleges and the allotment will be made based on their choices following merit and rule of reservation.
REPORTING ;-
The allotted candidates should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the allotted Medical College/Institution in person before the date and time specified in the allotment order along with the Originals and copies of the Certificates.
The candidates who have joined in the course during 1st phase of counseling only, are eligible to attend the subsequent phases of counselling for re-allotment. The date of such counselling will be published in the websites and also will be informed to the Dean/The Principal of respective Colleges. No individual intimation will be sent to the candidates
The vacancies arising after the first round of counseling and also addition of seats if any due to approval/permission of new colleges will be filled up through subsequent online counseling if necessary.
No Re-allottment for any course within Self-financing colleges
Individual request for transfer of course and college will not be entertained.
Mutual transfer will not be entertained.
METHOD OF SELECTION & ADMISSION :- The selection will be made based on merit and applying the rule of reservation by the Government of Tamil Nadu as follows.

| SEATS RESERVED FOR PERSON WITH BENCHMARK DISABILITY : -5% of the total number of seats available in Government Colleges are reserved for the Differently Abled candidates. The other conditions for admission into Paramedical courses will be applicable as in the case of the general category. | |

Medical Colleges and discontinue the Paramedical Degree courses after the cut-off date should pay the Discontinuation Fee of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rs.One Lakh only) by means of Demand Draft in favor of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai – 10” payable at Chennai. | ||
