KPC Medical College & Hospital

KPC Medical College and Hospital was the first private-public-partnership (PPP) model medical college of West Bengal. It was founded by Kumud Shankar Ray, in the premises of Dr. K. S. Ray TB Hospital., founded by Dr. K. S. Ray himself. Kumud Shankar Ray (1892–1950) did pioneering wоrk in tuberculosis, chest medicine, thoracic surgery, gland grafting, radium therapy, etc. Moreover, he was the founder-member of organizations and institutions lіke the Indian Medical Association, the Medical Council of India, the Journal of the IMA, S B Dey TB Sanatorium (Kurseong), National Medical College, and the TB hospital at Jadavpur. All this is а part of India's medical history and fight against colonial rule. As Alderman, he started the mosquito control department and was the chief whip of Swarajya Party and а lieutenant of Deshbandhu C R Das.It is affiliated with WEST BENGAL UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES(WBUHS).

Common Entrance Test for Allied Sciences – Undergraduate Courses JENPAS(UG)-2023

The Examination: WBJEEB will conductOMR based Common Entrance Test JENPAS(UG)-2023 for admission in various Colleges/ Institutes in the State of West Bengal for the academic session2023 24 into the following Undergraduate Courses.

1. B.Sc. Nursing(Bachelor of Nursing)
2. B.P.T. (Bachelor of Physiotherapy)
3. B.M.L.T (Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology)
4. B.Sc. CCT (B.Sc. in Critical Care Technology)
5. B.Sc. OTT (B.Sc. in Operation TheatreTechnology)
6. B.Sc. PT (B.Sc. in Perfusion Technology)
7. B.Sc. PA (B.Sc. in Physician Assistant)
8. B.Sc. MMB (B. Sc. In MedicalMicrobiology)
9. B.V.S.O(Bachelor of VisionSciences and Optometry)
10. B.H.A. (Bachelor in Hospital Administration)

Eligibility criteriafor appearing in JENPAS(UG)-2023

1. The applicant must be a citizen of India.
2. The applicant must be domicileof West Bengal.
3. The applicantmust have passed already OR must be appearing in 2023 in class 12 in (10+2)system only.
4. The applicant’s age must be at least 17 (seventeen) years ason 31.12.2023
5. The applicant shouldhave been born on or before 31.12.2006.

Eligibility criteriafor admission

1. Gender:
   1. Only Female candidates are eligible for admission in B.Sc. Nursingcourse in Govt.colleges under JENPAS(UG)-2023.
   2. Both Male & Female candidates are eligible for admission in B.Sc. Nursing course in Pvt. Colleges under JENPAS(UG)-2023.
   3. Both Male &Female candidates are eligible for admission in all other courses exceptB.Sc. Nursing in both Govt.and Pvt. Collegesunder JENPAS(UG)-2023.

Document verification

1. Admit cards, Rank cards are issued based on the information provided by the candidate. All verifications are done during and after counselling by the allotted Institute. Hence candidates cannot assume that the personal information shown in the admit card, rank card areapproved by the Board.
2. If during document verification by the allotted Institute, it is found that any information given by the candidate is/are not correct or if the candidate is unable to produce certificate/ document/ proof valid as per the then applicable rules and as on the date of its verification, his/her information will be corrected/modified accordingly which may even make him/her ineligible for some/all seats/course(s).
3. Similarly, if at any stage during or after counselling it is found on scrutiny that theinformation/document(s) provided by the candidate is false/incorrect, his/her candidature is liable to be treated as cancelled even if he/she secureda Merit Rank and/or a seat has been allotted to the candidate. Hence, securing a Rank does not constitute a right/guarantee in favour of a candidatefor his/her claimfor admission if he/she fails to comply with therequired criteria.

Reservation of Seats for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD/EWS categoryof students

1. Reservation policies will be accordingto the extant rules of Govt. of WB for admission in reserved seats for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD/EWS. Number of category wise reserved seats will be declared by the above Authorities before counseling.
2. Such reservation shall be restricted to candidates who are Indian citizen and domiciled in West Bengalonly.
3. Candidates claiming reservation must submit relevant Certificate issued by the competent Authorities as given below.
4. Certificates are to be produced for verification by the allotted Institute during counselling, admission etc. If at that time, it is found that any information given by the candidate is/are not corrector if the candidate is unable to produce certificate/ document/ proof valid as per the then applicable rules as on the date of its verification, his/her information will be corrected/modified accordingly and the candidate may be reconsidered in next round of counselling (if any).   Any incorrect information/application will make him/her ineligible for all seats/course.
