In a remarkable display of talent and preparation, Muthu R from Tamil Nadu and Kolasani Saketh Pranav from Andhra Pradesh have set new benchmarks in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2024 for Paper 2, achieving a perfect 100 NTA score in BArch and BPlanning respectively. This outstanding achievement highlights the exceptional caliber of students participating in this highly competitive exam.

Muthu R emerged as the highest scorer in Paper 2A (BArch), while Kolasani Saketh Pranav topped the charts in Paper 2B (BPlanning), underscoring the diverse talent pool across the country. The achievements of these top scorers are particularly notable given the rigorous nature of the JEE Mains examination, which serves as a gateway for future architects and planners to prestigious institutions across India.

In addition to the perfect scorers, nearly 25 candidates in each category (BArch and BPlanning) have scored over 99 NTA scores, showcasing a broad base of high achievers from various states. However, the results also reveal a disparity in scores across different regions, with the maximum marks scored in Daman and Diu for BArch being only 66.9051774 NTA score, and the highest score from Madhya Pradesh in BPlanning standing at 77.6571796 NTA score.

The National Testing Agency (NTA), responsible for conducting the JEE Main 2024, organized Session 1 for Paper 2A (BArch) and Paper 2B (BPlanning) on January 24, 2024. The examination was held across 421 centres in 299 cities, including 15 cities outside India, with a total of 55,608 candidates appearing for the exam.

JEE Main serves as a critical step for students aspiring to enter undergraduate engineering, architecture, and planning programs. Qualifying in Paper 1 opens doors to BE/BTech courses in NITs, IIITs, and other central institutions, while success in Paper 2 is crucial for those targeting BArch and BPlanning degrees. Moreover, JEE Main is a prerequisite for JEE Advanced, which further filters candidates for admission into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

As the NTA prepares to release the ranks following the culmination of both sessions of the JEE (Main)-2024 Examination for Paper 2, the academic community eagerly anticipates the comprehensive list of achievers. This year’s performance not only showcases the brilliance of individual candidates but also underscores the continued excellence in STEM education in India. It reflects the dedication of students and educators alike, pushing the boundaries of excellence in architectural and planning education.
